Step 2 is self enquiry based intellectual understanding of how the mind works and how to transform the mind.
This audio aims to provide intellectual clarity on what the mind is, how it works, its influence on our experience of life, and therefore how to transform the mind.
This is a longer audio covering the following topics:

- The influence and importance of mind
- The layers of mind – what each layer of mind is. We start to examine the nature of each layer of mind, whether it is stable or changing, how reliable or trustworthy it is, whether we should always listen to and follow the contents of the mind. We discuss the following layers of mind:
- Thoughts
- Emotions
- Memory
- Identity
- Intellect
- Attention
- What happens when we learn to create distance from thoughts and train the mind to keep attention in the present and away from thoughts.
